EAST COAST SHOWS IN MAY/JUNE

Road trip! Sonus Umbra is hitting the road in May for a couple of east coast shows. We will be opening for the mighty IZZ at ARCH in Allston, Massachusetts on 5/31, followed by a headlining show at Orion Studios in Baltimore on 6/1. [click for more details]

 


 

WINTER SOULSTICE IS HERE!

Winter Soulstice marks the 5th studio album, and the 20th anniversary of the band. Originally formed in Mexico City, Sonus Umbra now resides in Chicago. The current line-up is an all-new ensemble featuring some of Chicago's best progressive rock musicians: Rich Poston and Tim McCaskey on guitar and vocals, Brian Harris on keyboards, Steve Royce on flute, vocals and holophonics, Roey Ben-Yoseph on lead vocals, with Andy Tillotson on drums and vocals and Luis Nasser on bass the last two standing from previous incarnations. Sonus Umbra plays dark, symphonic prog rock that is equally influenced by bands like Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Rush, Jethro Tull, Iron Maiden and King Crimson. [click for more details]
